From an incredibly early age I mapped out my whole life, not in the wedding dress and number of kids way but in a career and interest way, and it’s always involved food. I come from a family of eccentric movie makers who are incredibly talented at calling up a restaurant for take out but don’t know the first thing when it comes to cooking. It definitely took them by surprise when I expressed my deep love for cooking and a yearning desire to be a food personality at the age of ten. One night whilst making a hefty lasagna and a fennel and blood orange salad for my family; my babysitter/French tutor/chef extraordinaire explained to me how the ways of the at the time fairly new blogisphere worked. Fifteen minutes later I was the proud author and proprietor of “Little Girl In The Kitchen” a blog that I then described as “food from the eyes of a gourmet eleven year old. ”
At the time my knowledge about blogging was incredibly limited and it was merely a place for me to write about my cooking success’ failures and interests with a plethora of spelling mistakes and middle school references. After a move across the Atlantic and a 14th birthday I put my trusty old blogspot to rest, took a break from the blogisphere and took to twitter to vent about being a teenager instead, not one of my most intelligent moves. Basically, the reason why I tell you all of this is to welcome you to my new website, a place for anyone interested in everything from food, lifestyle, fashion and cooking to friendship bracelets and the ways of high school. It’s good to be back blogging and thank you for listening and supporting me throughout this whole process.
